Rapid prototyping


Rapid prototyping is ideal for fabricating prototypes or small series of polymer parts in a quick and cost effective way. With a large variety of 3D-printing and casting technologies at our disposal, we can produce any functional structure you need. 1. Major processes:

3D printing techniques: stereolithography (STL, SLA), fused deposition modeling (FDM), selective laser sintering (SLS),

Mold based processes: vacuum casting, injection molding, extrusion


2. Common materials:

ABS, polyurethane, polyurea, polyoxymethylene, polycarbonates, Nylon 6, polyamide (PA), poly(methyl methacrylate), polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), PET, ethylene-vinyl acetate, silicon, different epoxies


3. Resolution and tolerances:

The minimal feature size and precision is strongly process and material dependent.

For small-size parts, smaller structures and higher resolutions can be achieved (e.g. for micro-stereolithography: minimal feature size down to 0.1 mm with a precision of +/-0.05 mm)


4. Surface finish:

Sand and bead blasting, vapor smoothing


5. Service type:

Normal service: delivery time 3-4 weeks depending on the quantity and part complexity. Longer times might apply for very complex orders and large quantities.

Urgent service: delivery time 2 weeks (subjected to extra cost)
